THE PROJECT
The House for Disarmament of Verona is a place that the M.I.D. - International Movement for Disarmament uses to promote, organize, host, training meetings and stages, on the themes of Non-violence, Disarmament and the culture of peace. It is a space of welcome, dialogue and confrontation: for the Disarmament points of the Italian Government and abroad; for groups, associations and movements that pursue goals similar to those of the International Movement for Disarmament (M.I.D.) for groups and lay communities that seek peace in the Objection of Consciousness; for families or groups of families who wish to experience peace and non-violence, disarmament and anti-militarism. For youth groups or school and university classes involved in the study of the themes: peace, conscientious objection, non-violence, non-violent resolution of conflicts, justice and economy, environment through active research laboratories that combine study and the experience of life in common , in contact with nature and the use of art. For women and men of good will who wish to stop and live an experience that seeks meaning and relationships of peace and writing and writing of books.
The House for Disarmament is the National headquarters of the International Movement for Disarmament (MID) founded by Franco Avati and hosts, in addition to the Movement for the ecological-pacifist associations like the Unilateral Disarmament League (LDU) and the Legatori Obiettori di Coscienza (LOC) .
The House for Disarmament is the private property of the Founder donated to the International Movement for Disarmament.
